It's 50/50 exercise to nutrition...need help in either one?

At Raw Power, we give nutrition tips and healthy ways to stay fit and feel good.  

Here are a few tips for you:

Clean out the fridge and cupboards today...little or no processed foods should be in your house.  Fill them with greens, organic vegetables and fruits, eggs, lean meats, and nuts.

Sweat everyday!   Mix up your workouts...weights, cardio, and yoga/Pilates.  Too much of one exercise will overtrain same muscle groups, create boredom and possibly cause an injury. 

Get at least 7-8 hours of sleep every night.   Go to bed early if getting up for the 5:30am class. 

Keep healthy snacks in car...apples, Quest Bars, almonds. Be concerned with the sugar content. 

Eat healthy fats(avocado, coconut oil, grass-fed butter)...we need to eat fat to burn fat.

Reduce stress by doing something for YOU, take a walk, read a book, soak in a warm bath.

Find time for friends!  Plan something to do together...walk, meet for green tea, go to yoga.

Drink half your body weight in ounces of water each day and eat about how much you weigh in grams of protein.

Make a plan at beginning of week:  meals, exercise times/classes, and stick to them.

Choose happiness and a positive attitude today! It will go a long way.
